Acceptable and unacceptable materials
Knowing what you can recycle and how the process works is important and cannot be overlooked. Following is a list of materials that are acceptable. There are also instructions in how to properly prepare a container of the acceptable materials and a list of materials that are unacceptable.

Container Preparation
- All containers (jars, bottles, cartons, etc.) must be rinsed and free of all contaminants.
- Remove and discard all corks, tops, rings, metal bottleneck wraps, and unacceptable items.
- Flatten container whenever possible.
